Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at people in the electrical industry who wish to gain low voltage switchboard rescue and resuscitation skills for their workplace or personal benefit. This course meets the requirements of the Electrical Safety Act and the Code of Practice: Electrical Work, Section 6-Working Live.
Course Outcomes
Identify legislation for work on electrical installations, Conduct risk assessments, Explain the “hierarchy of control”, Plan a job for safely working live, Describe the content of a Low Voltage Rescue Kit, Demonstrate safe rescue procedures, Provide initial first aid and treatment for burns, Choose fire extinguisher methods, Apply life support skills, Demonstrate CPR both 1 and 2 person rescue techniques
Accreditation
Each participant shall receive a certificate of attendance upon completion for the LV side of the training and a Statement of Attainment for the CPR HLTCPR201A.
